Coro Anthèa & Renzo Vigagni - Cum novo cantico ( organ - choir - medieval - others )

"Cum novo cantico" is an innovative and original music project which joins Gregorian and Ambrosian chant to the jazz style organ improvisation. While the female section of the Anthèa choir sings Ambrosian and Gregorian inns and antiphons from the IV to the XIV centuries, Renzo Vigagni improvises colour-notes, fioriture, interludes and postludes. The original aspect of the project, and its inner difficult side too, consists of the particular style of improvisation, the jazz one indeed. This has to "work and research" respecting the eurhythmic primitive peculiarities as also the original archaic modes."
