Children of Soul Mountain ( Soundtrack - chinese traditionnal folk songs - 中国 の 劇場 音楽)

ENG : "Children of the Soul Mountain (Ling Shan)" is a theatre performance inspired by Gao Xingjian's Nobel winning novel "Soul Mountain (Ling Shan)". This album is a selection of songs from this play, sung by Po Sun-yi a 66-year-old blind folk singer who was born and raised in Guizhou, the south-western part of China. The composer even visited the minority tribes along part of this "ling shan" path, resulting a re-interpretation of two traditional folk songs and seven new compositions with a mix of native recordings.
